I'm in law!

While Pops was doing some research for work,
he came across a law that refers to Beagles!!!
Cool, huh? See below for wording:

NEW BRUNSWICK REGULATION 84-124
under the FISH AND WILDLIFE ACT

2 In this Regulation,
“hound” means
(a) a Bluetick, Redbone, English, Swiss, Plott, Black
and Tan or Walker hound,
(b) a cross-breed between a Bluetick, Redbone, English,
Swiss, Plott, Black and Tan or Walker hound and
any of the hounds listed in this paragraph,
(c) a beagle, or
(d) a basset;

15(1) Notwithstanding section 13, the Minister may issue a
permit to a person who is the holder of a fur harvester’s
licence or a minor’s fur harvester’s licence that entitles
the holder of the permit to hunt bobcat or fox with a hound
or hounds or rabbit (varying hare) with a Swiss hound, a
beagle, a basset or a cross-breed between a beagle and a
basset during the day in accordance with subsection 33(2)
of the Act during the open season for hunting the particular
species of wildlife in the wildlife management zone in
which that species is hunted.
