Welcome to My Dog Blog

Hello there humans.
My name is Genghis, and welcome to my Dog Blog.
I am a little Beagle who likes to eat and whine.
Although I do whine because I want more to eat.

As your host, and with the help of my servants, Natalie and Erik, I will be posting comic strips, videos, photos, thoughts, crafts projects (yes, you read correctly), etc, on things in my life. A constantly hungry dog's view of life if you will.

An Ode to my Beagle, Genghis

Although I have written and drawn this little graphic diatribe based on the life of my beagle, I am not a dog-lover. But, in our society, the dog is a great symbol of loyalty and companionship; one needs only to look at Snoopy and his quirky interactions with the Peanuts gang, or the Littlest Hobo’s desire to do good despite having no home to call his own. (As a digression, once in a while, I hear people hum or sing the Littlest Hobo theme song.)

I know I have neglected to mention numerous other canine heroes, but these two, are close to my heart. (The others, I really couldn’t care less; remember, I am not a dog lover.)

Recognizing the allure and satisfaction of adopting a dog, I decided to create my own little strip. Whether it is read or not, it matters in the least; This is an ode to my perfect little beagle, Genghis. And yes, his personality is as big as his name implies.

I might describe this strip as a more vulgar, less poetic and more lazy version of Peanuts. Mind you, the similarities are cursory at best; Charles Schulz and his Peanuts are in a league of their own and I would never dare to truly compare myself to him. However, not unlike Mr. Schulz, I am very fond of my little beagle.
